Ever feel like you have walked into a nice restaurant with the adult equivalent of a huge ratty back pack full of, not text books and love notes, but 87 lip stains, sunglasses and at least 3 electronic devices? Lately I have been dreaming of a ladylike hand bag that is big enough to carry all my daily essentials, yet dainty enough to wear to dinner at night.
My stylin Mother-in-Law has this Rebecca Minkoff Covet bag in plain black leather and it has a shoulder strap which is such an essential addition to any ladylike bag. Come on let’s be practical here.
A bit more masculine but with lots of great colors and subtle shape change options, the Cambridge Satchel Company classic bag is so boy-chic.
My girl Ayeisha had just debuted this stunning Saddle Bag in her Morgan Parish Collection. Infused with clean lines, a classic pedigree and an element of hipness the other options can’t beat.
Since no A & O fashion post would be complete with out a little J. Crew, meet the Edie Purse in Italian Calf Hair. Small but still swoon worthy.
All the options above are under $500 which makes them ALMOST practical right? Right?

My mom has generously offered to make me a shift dress as I have been coveting a custom one for many years. I can’t seem to find a vintage one that fits me just right.
When we were chatting about this over the phone I said “I want one like what Jackie wore on her trip to India with her sister.”

The Missoni line for Target drops today! I will be waiting in line when the store opens to grab some items for our home. I’m especially excited for the trays, towels and desk accessories. Zigzags and stripes for days my friends, and at a price we can all afford.
